Swimwear Trends 2027: Bikini Styles to Try Before Summer
Crochet, metallics, butter yellow and olive: the 2027 swimwear trends from resort collections, and how to preview bikini styles on your own photo.
· 3 min read

Resort collections are out, which means next summer's swimwear is mostly decided. Brands showed Resort 2027 over the summer, and by the time beach season starts the racks are already set. If you're planning a winter trip somewhere warm, you get to wear these trends before most people do.
Crochet keeps going
Crochet swimwear has been building for a few seasons. It was everywhere at Miami Swim Week last year, and it's still on the 2027 trend lists, often paired with a matching crochet cover-up.
It's also hard to judge from a product photo. Open-knit texture looks very different on a body than on a hanger. The Crochet Boho preset in the AI Bikini Generator is an ivory crochet set, so you can see the texture on your own photo before ordering one.
Metallics
Gold, silver and bronze finishes keep showing up in 2027 swim forecasts, either across the whole suit or just on straps, rings and hardware. A full metallic suit is a big look. If you're unsure, start with a plain suit and metallic hardware.
Our presets don't include a metallic suit, but you can upload a product photo of one under Upload reference. The AI copies the suit and ignores the model wearing it.
Butter yellow and pastels
WWD's Resort 2027 coverage put pastels at the top of its contemporary trend list, and butter yellow is the shade that keeps coming back. Pastels are hard to wear. A pale yellow that looks fresh on one skin tone washes another out.
The closest preset is Pastel Ruffle, in baby blue seersucker, and Lavender Ribbed covers the cooler pastels. Trying those two on your photo tells you quickly whether pastels work for you at all, before you go looking for the exact yellow. Our guide to bikini colors for your skin tone covers that in more detail.
Olive and earthy greens
Olive green turns up on retailer trend lists for summer 2027. Green flatters a lot of people, and if olive feels too muted, a jewel-tone emerald is the bolder version. The Emerald Twist preset is a good test of whether green is your color.
Halters and one-shoulder cuts
Plunging halters and one-shoulder tops keep coming up in 2027 forecasts. A halter is also one of the most supportive bikini tops, so it's an easy trend to wear. Try Red Halter and Coral One-Shoulder on the same photo and compare. The one-shoulder cut changes how long your torso looks more than you'd expect.
What 2027 is moving away from
Our read: neon is cooling off. Sporty silhouettes are still around, but the color stories for 2027 lean toward pastels and earth tones. If you already own a neon suit, keep it. If you're buying one new suit for next year, choose something else.
Try the trends on your photo
- Use one full-body photo for every try-on, with plain clothes and even light, so you're only comparing swimsuits.
- Open the AI Bikini Generator and confirm the photo is of you, or of an adult who has agreed to it.
- Run three presets that match the trends above: Crochet Boho, Pastel Ruffle and Emerald Twist.
